Has the world ever stopped for anything or anyone? Maybe not, but when it comes to our Bollywood divas stepping out in their best looks, there is always a long hard pause and a slew of sighs.
Spring has long kicked in and already our talented divas have begun to shift the gears of the latest trends after the slow winter season.
Let us have a look at what they are doing to steal the show and as usual, take a page from their best looks in March to inspire our own celebration of the happy season.
Holly Molly : Well, Holi has long gone past, but one of the March best dressed Bollywood looks was from Jacqueline Fernanded who wowed us with this lovely festive number. This minimally embroidered halter neck choli lehenga combination.
The outfit oozes spring appeal with the white background and multi-colored embroidery and whoa! it even comes with a matching waist-pouch, where we are sure the actor stored her stash of Holi colors to play with. We love the look for its simple playful vibe.
Stripe dreams: Another outfit we loved for its colorful accents on a white background is this striped saree outing by Shilpa Shetty Kundra. This is a bold yet sophisticated look perfect for the spring/Holi vibe because of its play on white and multicolored combination.
The closed neck blouse in matching stripes give it a sophisticated and modern turn and minimal oxidized jewellery and neutral makeup blend in beautifully with the earthy tones used in the stripes.Don't you just love the smart look of this saree worn effortlessly by Shilpa ?
Festive spirit: Well, it is hardly surprising that colors on white was a major theme this March. After all white is the go to color considered auspicious for wearing on Holi and adding a twist with multi-colors simply elevates any holi outfit in the true spirit of the festival.
Radhika Madan's strappy kurta sharara set was also a unique and soothing take on the trend. We just love the minimal motifs on the Kurta and her simple accesories that let the outfit stay in focus.
Spring shimmer: Kajal Agarwal's silk lehenga and kurta combo was another winning look in March. This beautiful pale yellow silk number was festive enough without packing on the bling. Season appropriate, she did not add accessories to complete her look and we love how she has simply added a black bindi to give the outfit a soft traditional turn.
Spring sizzle: Now one diva that refused to glow softly was Vani Kapoor. She opted for the slow sizzle of this beautiful pink anarkali ensemble with gota-patti work and added oomph to the look with a low sweat-heart neckline.
Neutral make up and minimal accessories kept the look season appropriate and we just crush on the soft pink shade, that flatters all skin tones in spring. Three cheers for Vani !
