With the big fat Italian wedding coming to an end, our Bollywood crusaders dressed up in glory and stole our heart away with their spectacular appearances. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh enticed their fans with some drool-worthy snaps of their wedding and dropped our jaws. Designer laden couture, Pintersty-inspired décor and showstealing performances by the Bollywood sensations including Harshdeep Kaur during #DeepVeer’s Sangeet ceremony was worth every pound. We love how breath-taking the two souls in love crafted their unique image with two different rituals and how they both respected each other’s cultures. Of course, the talented team of wedding photographers including the Bollywood’s fav Errikos Andreou who is credited for some of the swoony candid shots of the couple in frame.
Starting with Mehendi, twirling to Sangeet and unveiling the curtain on their D-Day, each ceremony was meticulously articulated to make their matrimony truly gold. Here are some of the happy moments where the couple cherished everlasting memories with their family and friends. Take a look:
Dreamy background featuring the azure picturesque Lake Como during the festive and fancy jamboree of Mehandi eve. The gorgeous orchids blossoming blush pink roses dressed the walls and railings of the courtyard that gleamed fable feels. Pastels were absolutely in vogue as the throws, drapes and even the big cushions were stacked in neutral hues embellished with mirrors and intricate embroidery.
Deepika Padukone slayed a million-dollar look as she wore a stunning salmon pink designer sharara and kurta dress with statement emerald and pearl embellished jewelry. The soft pink hued ensemble featuring intricate thread work and delicate dupatta with scintillating sequins and broad zari border got our heart pacing fast. Her layered necklace and chandelier earrings were a leading designer courtesy while her au naturale makeup and dainty bun hairstyle made up for a saccharine-soaked bride.
Deepika Padukone is a Konkani as she was born and brought up in Bangalore and has deep roots with her traditional township. The subtle and surreal day-wedding during the Konkani procession witnessed earthy hues of cream and gold opted by guests and even the “it” couple. Hues of cream and gold dominated the wedding scenario and needless to say, their infectious smiles radiated more than words ever could.
In one of the happy pictures, Deepika Padukone is found laughing her heart out while performing one of the rituals, she wore a pristine off-white sharara and kurta topped with a marvellously designed sheer cream dupatta decorated with gold details. She personified her Konkani self by decking Cassandra flowers in her bun and added gold tints to her glamourous look. The long chandelier earrings completed her suave Indian dusky look.
Another ceremonious looks of Deepika Padukone emanated ethereal vibes as she wore a magnificent sheer Chanderi rust hued saree with a broad gold zari border. The extravagant sari that resonated the old-world charm of Indian traditional glory etched in the hearts of every native man.
Deepika Padukone stole the show as she personified Padmavat in her enchanting red lehenga choli with signature gold detailing. What caught our eyes and seemed too fancy for the conventional in-laws was the intricately embroidered “Soubhagyati Bhav “weaved on the borders of her elaborately designed dupatta.
You just can’t afford to miss out on her royal heritage jewelry featuring the gold rush chandelier earrings and statement choker necklace. The gorgeous maang tika totally blew our mind away.
The first formal appearance of Deepika and Ranveer at Bangalore reception was nothing less than glamour meets avant garde fashion.
