Everywhere you turn your eye, there is fear and panic and talk surrounding one single subject - the dreaded Corona virus outbreak worldwide. In fact in India a government lockdown of 21 days has been imposed to break the cycle of the spread of the virus, starting 12 am on 24th March. No wonder people are fearful and concerned.
However, no matter how hard the situation may be at the moment, there are also voices of courage and concern that this moment has brought us much needed faith and strength in these trying times. And our leading ladies and leading men of Bollywood have not disappointed.
As in times of any large scale crisis they have risen to the ocassion and made it their mission to reach out to the masses, calm their nerves and share the much needed wisdom and compassion in these trying times, setting an example for us on how to keep our wits about us and stay calm so we can do the right thing in our interest.
Starting with the biggest star of Bollywood Mr. Amitabh Bachhan to the new kid on the block Kartik Aryan, all celebs have made the best use of their voice to reach out to us, so let us look at what they have to say !
Mr Bacchan has appeared in a Public Service message outlining the danger of the Corona outbreak and has also tweeted several times sharing important measures against the disease.
He has also appeared in a film by Bollywood film director Rohit Shetty made in collaboration with the Maharashtra government to create awareness about the Corona pandemic. It features several artistes apart from Mr Bacchan including Ajay Devgun, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit, and Ayushman Kurana.

The young Turk of Bollywood, Kartik Aryan also joined the celebs in creating more awareness about the COVID 19 with a tik tok video. He spoke at length to people urging them to stay home and stay safe, and to follow all the suggested measures against the infection with Corona virus. Fans rallied to support him in this quick but comprehensive video by Kartik Aryan.
Even the "Padman" hitmaker took several times to social media to express his chagrin against people who are neglecting the social distancing rule and urged fans to practice all the precautions. He reprimanded people who have been flouting the "Janta Curfew" imposed all over India on 22nd March and urged fans in this video to not risk their lives and that of others.
Even the stars away from home, like Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to social media to create awareness and urge people not to lose hope in this critical hour. The duo are in self quarantine and they encouraged fans to stay home and take care of their loved ones in this short message.
Actor Hritik Roshan also took to social media to share his concerns with this message.
In fact Priyanka and Deepika Padukone were nominated "safe hands" ambassadors by the Director of the World Health Organisation to promote hand hygeine.
Not to be left behind, Katrina Kaif went a step ahead and shared a video of her washing utensils while in self quarantine, urging people to undertake house chores and not panic.
Other stars like Amitabh Bacchan, Preity Zinta also made their contributions to the promotion of the cause.
In this need of hour it is indeed commendable how Bollywood stars have taken up their social responsibility and have come to cheer people up and promote more awareness against the disease. It is indeed a time which is hard on all of us, but keeping our wits about us is our best bet to stay safe and overcome the worst of this crisis. Keep the faith !
